If you do not already have Java installed please make sure to go download the latest version from Oracle. You can get the Java JRE by clicking here.

  2. Select 'Hexxit' from the menu on the top left
  3. Log in.
  4. Done! You can now player singleplayer Hexxit or multiplayer Hexxit.

From the drop-down menu you can now also choose to play Vanilla Minecraft and countless other amazing mod packs.

Hexxit Review

It looks like even after a year of Minecraft's 'full release' that the modding scene in Minecraft has never been more active. There are so many creative modders out there, who refreshed the appeal of Minecraft. Hexxit is successful in fusing the appeal of these over 50 mods in a giant adventure filled package that is bound to bring you hours of additional intense playtime.

You will begin to laugh at Zombies and Creepers once you realise that Hexxit turns the endless Minecraft world into a series of deadly dungeons filled with mobs that will kill you within a matter of seconds if you are not prepared

However, with the increased difficulty, exploration in Minecraft has never been more satisfying. Thanks to Hexxit, looting mobs has never been rewarding.

Most impressively, though, Hexxit does not behave like an RPG. There are no stats, no scores - it is the Minecraft experience in every single way. The terrain is still dynamically generated, but this time you you work yourself up from a Wooden Pickaxe to an ultimate weapon of mass destruction that you have found in a dungeon, enchanted and customised. With this weapon you are finally able to take on some of the toughest bosses in Hexxit.

The Technic guys truly succeeded in crafting a masterpiece of a mod pack, that will make any RPG lover's hearts pound when they are slaying the mobs that obstruct your way to epic loot. That is why Hexxit is one of our favourite mod packs and achieves the all-time high score of 93.
